In this video I’m talking about a product launch checklist, a couple of crucial things that you need to pull off a launch and have big success.
First thing you need, and I talk about this all the time, is a community. You’ve gotta have people that respond to you, know you, like you, and have interest in buying your stuff. The simplest community to build is an email list. You could also build your own social network or unique group of joint venture partners. Think about people in your niche that will respond to what you offering. This is a step you cannot skip. Without a responsive community you will not have a successful launch.
Second thing you need as a part of your product launch checklist, is a product. Is it going to be big/expensie or small/cost-effective? How many modules is it going to be? Is it going to be an online course or is it going to be a collection of DVDs that you are going to ship to someone’s house? In addition to that, you have to be sure that this product solves a real, live frustration for your audience. Identify your community’s common problem and be clear what your magical solution does to solve that problem. Make sure your product delivers…it is a must do.
The third big thing you need is a launch team. Who is going to write your copy? Who is going to write your sales letter? Who is going to manage your JV partners? Who is going to help you craft, refine, and tell your launch story? Be advised – these things not only have to be prepared for on the front end but continuously worked on over that 30, 45, 60 day promotional period. You cannot do them all yourself. You must have a method of delegating the many launch tasks.
So if you’re looking for a (quick and dirty) product launch checklist, here it is. You’ve got three main things. You must have a responsive community, a proven product, and a dedicated launch team.
