Where Will Smith and I Agree

Once you watch this video, you realize that Will Smith is about more than acting, hip-hop, and telling funny jokes.  He approaches his work with a sense of purpose.  He intends for his work to mean something…he intends for it to convey a message.

Here are two of my favorite quotes from this video.

“If you’re going to be here, then there’s necessity to make a difference.”

“I want to represent possibility…you really can create whatever you want to.”

Often times, we associate the phrase making a difference with large scale movements.  Having a sense of purpose is not reserved for Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, and Mahatma Gandhi.  Have you ever eaten a cookie that changed your day, read a comic that made you laugh, or smelled a perfume that made you smile?  If so, then you experienced the reaction the creator intended.  To say it differently, your reaction was on “purpose”.

Will Smith says it well and I agree. Interactions with products, services, and people with a purpose are inspiring.  Those that get it right create very intense, loyal, and long-lasting communities.

The purpose of Product Launch Marketing is to give those products, services, and people the marketing support they need in order to grow successfully.
